Abort73 in Australia!

Life Network Australia - Tuesday, July 14, 2009
(from their email update)

US group, Abort73.com was also an exhibitor at Australia's Easterfest, a large, 3-day Christian music festival. The effort was entirely carried by local volunteers. Paul Hodge, a pastor from Port Macquarie who led the charge, paid the exhibit fee, paid for the exhibit signs, and paid for most of the shirts. Here's the official report the volunteers sent back:

“On April 10-12th, Abort73.com made it’s debut in Australia! A small team of volunteers made the trek to ‘Easterfest’ a Christian music festival in Toowoomba. Even though it was rainy and foggy and muddy and cold there was still around 40,000 people there. We sold exactly 500 shirts and hoodies, had lots of good conversations with people, and introduced lots of people to Abort73.com. People were really excited that there was something practical they could ‘do’ about abortion.”

Emily’s Voice at Easterfest

Life Network Australia - Tuesday, July 14, 2009
 (from their April E-news)

Emily's Voice had an exhibition stall at Easterfest in Queen's Park, Toowoomba, during the Easter weekend.  Over 30,000 people attended the event and many stopped by the Emily's Voice stand.  “People of all ages stopped to speak with us, sharing their life experiences or encouraging us in our vision and work.  They bought t-shirts and armbands, watched the DVD presentation and  took our information booklets.  A great number of people from many places now know of the work of Emily's Voice and are eagerly waiting for our campaigns to come to their town.”

As well as Emily's Voice, there were 3 other pro-life stall holders in the main pavillion:  Abort73.com; Priceless Life Centre and Cherish Life.  It was great to have such a strong pro-life presence there.  Our various ministries each have different emphases, so there was encouragement for people to go from one to the other and receive as much information/help as was available.  The unity of purpose amongst the different pro-life groups was evident as we interacted together.
