An estimated one million people marched in Madrid, Spain, protesting proposed changes to abortion law, according to
christianpost.com. The Bill proposed by socialist Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero included allowing abortion for any reason during the first 14 weeks of pregnancy and to allow girls as young as 16 to have an abortion without parental consent.
Currently abortion is only allowed in the cases of rape, foetal abnormality, or when the mother’s physical or mental health is at risk.
